She clinched it from project fame and ever since, she has been one of the most sought after Nigerian female singer. Her first single titled JANKOLIKO featuring veteran artiste Sound Sultan was off the hook. The video was directed by award winning cinematographer Clarence Peters. Chidinma whose style is predominantly afrocentric pop music, with a lot of "Nigerianness" to it, is the sixth of seven children of her disciplinarian father and mother. She worked as a business promoter in Lagos prior to auditioning for the third season of MTN's Project Fame West Africa.

About how she started her musical career, Chidinma started singing at the age of 6 and joined her church choir at 10. She attended primary and secondary school in Ketu prior to relocating to Ikorodu with her family. She is currently studying Sociology at the University of Lagos. She initially wanted to study Mass Communication but did not accept the offer due to her participation in the 3rd edition of MTN Project fame, the same competition that brought her to limelight. On 26 September 2010, Chidinma emerged winner of the competition winning many prizes, including N2.5 million, a 2011 Toyota RAV4, and an album production deal. In May 2013, Chidinma sealed an endorsement deal with MTN Nigeria.

Prior to her endorsement with the telecommunication giant, Miss Kedike had released some collaborative project with the other finalists of MTN Project Fame West Africa Season 3. Chidinma then started work on her debut album, and worked with producers like Cobhams Asuquo, Tee Y Mix, WazBeat and Oscar Heman Ackah. The album titled Chidinma dropped 2012 and contained previously released hit singles like Jankolikoko, Carry You Go, Kedike and Run their mouth.
